David Coverdale - Homesick for Yorkshire?
I was recently reminded that Whitesnake singer and all-round Rock God David Coverdale was born in Saltburn-by-the-Sea in North Yorkshire. He now lives a glamorous Rock Star life in Lake Tahoe California and I wondered if he ever got homesick for the less-conventionally glamorous charms of Saltburn.
Turns out he does!
David frequently chats with fans via his official website and is extremely generous with his time and good natured banter. Heartwarming stuff – on many levels – and well worth the digging over on the Whitesnake website. Everything you’d hope for from such a titan of the heavy metal scene – and a proud Yorshireman to boot. Not so sure about the Whitesnake-branded wine though…

Yes – it’s nice to see someone famous making themselves so available and taking the time to chat. I was inspired to go out and buy a “Best of Whitesnake” CD yesterday and I had forgotten just what a good singer he is too. He can really belt it out…if you need convincing then get this into you!

I now feel totally inspired to dig out my old denim jacket, rip the sleeves off and paint (or embroider) the Whitesnake logo on the back!!!!
